Oswego Lake is only one of two private lakes in the United States. It is 3.5 miles in length and has an average depth of 26 feet. Each property owner is a shareholder and belongs to the Lake Oswego Corporation. There are 694 Lakefront homes and 20 easements.
Many properties in the city of Lake Oswego also have "easement" rights to boat on this private lake.
